English Biker friendly B&B Chambre d'hôte Set in one and a half acres of tranquil secure gardens yet only a few minutes walk from the centre of Aubusson with its narrow streets and typical French ambience. Discover its varied bars, restaurants and boutiques or just stroll around taking in the riverside walks and museums in this very ancient town renowned as a centre for tapestry production. For motorcyclists exploring France we are just a days ride or drive from all the main channel ports and a good base for touring the local areas of the Limousin, Massif central, lac de Vassivière, Oradour sur Glane and the Volcans d'Auvergne or as a stop over on the way to Spain via the Millau bridge, Portugal, Italy or wherever you are heading. Martin and Ness are avid bikers, we ride a BMW R1200gsa and have lived in the U.k Spain and France and are aware of the needs of touring motorcyclists, groups, couples and solo bikers. We can offer a large secure garage area with tools for "running repairs" storage for equipment and drying facilities. Escorted "Ride outs" can be arranged around the "twisties" of the Limousin, Puy de dome, Mont Dore and the Auvergne region. We offer a warm family welcome to "solo" bikers who may be put off by large hotels. Any touring motorcyclists riding in the area are welcome to drop in for a "cuppa and a chat" anytime. Throughout the summer there are always things to see and do, Brocantes, Vide grenieres, music concerts, and street theatre. On the 8 to10 of July there is the "Festival rock et motos" at Evaux les Bains with concerts, rideouts stalls and fireworks. In October the town hosts the "Enduo de Aubusson" a tough 12 hour "off road" motorcycle marathon where teams of two riders battle their way around the forests and tracks in the local area.
